There are a lot of ideas, a lot of moving pieces, and not always a clear path forward. Where I tend to spend my time is: - cutting what isn’t needed - simplifying what is - turning ideas into something that can actually run day-to-day A lot of founders think they have an operations problem. Most of the time, it’s a focus problem. Too many things happening at once. Too many edge cases being considered too early. Too much being built before it’s needed. Good ops strategy brings things back to: - what actually matters right now - what can realistically be run today - what can evolve later Early on, the goal isn’t to build something perfect. It’s to build something that works.

I’ve worn a lot of hats (and sometimes headgear) on my way to building Inner North Consulting. I began in psychology and research — work that taught me the importance of context, empathy, and truly listening to the people behind the data. From there, I moved into data analytics in software technology, helping teams connect the numbers on the screen to the real experiences of their customers. I believe analytics is more than charts and dashboards — it’s about uncovering the human stories they represent, and using those stories to drive better decisions. When I’m not querying databases or defining KPI’s, I challenge myself in sports and I serve in the Canadian Forces.
